Configure the case categories for bounty hunting reports

Whenever submitting a case, a user needs to fill in a report to describe the nature of the case. The report contains several types of vulnerabilities, called case categories, that you can configure to better suit your individual needs.

Notes:

  • To customize any parameters in this section, toggle on Overwrite default settings, otherwise the section is non-editable.
  • After editing any parameters in this section, select Save on the tab you just configured before moving on to another tab, otherwise the updated parameters will not be saved.

To configure the bounty hunting case categories:

  1. Go to Manage icon WL.webpManage>Data privacy>Bounty hunting.

  1. In the Case categories tab, you can see all the case categories that a bounty hunting case could belong to. You can add, modify and delete a bounty hunting case category.

Add a bounty hunting report case category

Depending on your organization’s needs, you can easily add a bounty hunting case category. To add a new bounty hunting case category:

  1. Go to Manage icon WL.webpManage>Data privacy>Bounty hunting.

  1. In the Case categories tab, select +Add case category and then configure the new case category details, as follows:

  • Name: Give your new case category a descriptive name.
  • Description: Give your case category a meaningful description.
  • Category enabled: Toggle on to make this case category active.
  1. When finished, select Save. Your newly-created case category is displayed in the Bounty hunting section, in the Case categories tab.

Deactivate a bounty hunting report case category

Depending on your organization’s needs, you can temporarily deactivate a bounty hunting case category. The case categories that you can deactivate must be labeled with the Active label.

Deactivating a case category does not remove it, but only makes it unavailable until you reactivate it.

To deactivate a bounty hunting case category:

  1. Go to Manage icon WL.webpManage>Data privacy>Bounty hunting.

  1. In the Case categories tab, select Edit.webpEdit next to the desired case category marked with the Active label.

  1. In the Edit case category section, toggle off Category enabled.

  1. When finished, select Save.

Reactivate a deactivated bounty hunting report case category

Depending on your organization’s needs, you can reactivate an inactive bounty hunting case category. The case categories that you can reactivate must be labeled with the Inactive label.

To reactivate a bounty hunting case category:

  1. Go to Manage icon WL.webpManage>Data privacy>Bounty hunting.

  1. In the Case categories tab, select select Edit.webpEdit next to the desired case category marked with the Active label.
  2. In the Edit case category section, toggle on Category enabled.
  1. When finished, select Save.

Reposition a bounty hunting report case category

Depending on your organization’s needs, you can reposition a bounty hunting case category in the hierarchy it is displayed on the UI.

To reposition a bounty hunting case category:

  1. Go to Manage icon WL.webpManage>Data privacy>Bounty hunting.

  1. In the Case categories tab, use the drag handle (⋮⋮) to rearrange the desired item in the list.

Modify a Bounty Hunting report case category

To edit a bounty hunting case category:

  1. Go to Manage icon WL.webpManage>Data privacy>Bounty hunting.

  1. In the Case categories tab, select Edit.webpEdit next to the desired case category.

  1. In the Edit case category section, you can rename the case category, change its description, or make it active/inactive by toggling on/off Category enabled.

  1. When finished, select Save.

Delete a Bounty Hunting report case category

In the Control Center, you can remove the case categories that your organization no longer needs.

Note: You can only remove the case categories that you created, not the built-in ones.

To remove a bounty hunting case category:

  1. Go to Manage icon WL.webpManage>Data privacy>Bounty hunting.

  1. In the Case categories tab, select Delete next to the case category that you want to remove.
