It is a common misconception that a website need only follow the data privacy law of the place its business is based. In reality a website must follow the various data privacy laws of all its users. The scanner evaluates your current compliance against global regulations and identifies where you are at risk - a missing cookie consent management tool or a missing Privacy Policy, for instance, will register as high risk.
